Iustitia - Justice.
Second painting in my "seven virtues" series.
Painted in July 2005, using Photoshop 7 and an Aiptek tablet.

Instead of having her wear the traditional blindfold (since Justice is blind) I decided to paint her thjis way because I felt it would keep the focus better on her face if the eyes were visible.

The colors are wonderful, and also the face, the expression is nice. Maybe the right shoulder of the lady looks a bit strange, or needs depth; but in the whole is a great work!!

Looks very good, but there are two things that are a bit disturbing:
First: Her right arm pit (on viewer's left) is lower than the other one, it seems.
Second: Smudgy tail of the eagle.

Sure looks like an expensive dress justice is wearing

To me that kinda cuts into the concept. But geez.. this is really wel executed, super soft collors and just overall very nice to look at.

Beautiful image, love the mood and colors... very you. That branches, plants, or whatever they are in the backround are just perfect for the piece.

I'll make a few minor comments though:

That... err... compass seems somehow unnatural. She's holding it in a weird way.
That "shine star" in the uppermost corner of the dress seems too thick, doesen't really feel like a "shine star".
Also, I see her right shoulder or armpit is a little bit to big or thick. Maybe it's just me.

Love the dress, the clouds and the light.

The water waves should be blurrier. I think you should add more clouds on the background to make it more realistic and to prevent emptiness.
